Ask yourself how do you define one being a true friend?
Is it a group pf people who will hang out with you when you are free and bored? Or are they one who sacrifice their time despite being busy, to spend some quality time with you just because you call them up for a drink?
Or do you define true friend as someone that will run to you when you need help?
Are they the one who will talk good stuff about you even though you are not around? And meet you up after that justifying the good deeds they have done when you were not around?
Does it refer to a friend who supports your business and share within their connection to help you get your business blooming? Or are they the ones who tell you that you can text them anytime in the day or night and tell them your problems? Are those true friend means they are willing to listen to your problems and happiness at the same time?
Or do you define a true true true friend as someone who will say it right at your face with an honest opinion even though it hurts you to the max?
Gosh...
To be honest, the answers are all the above and many more that you can add on to the list.
The truth is, a true friend does not only refer to those who will be there to help you whenever you need help. You might never know what sort of situation or difficult circumstances your friends are facing at the same time you are asking for help. It's just they might have choose to stay silent and go through it in their own way.
Let's not assume and judge a beautiful friendship based on a response that we are not receiving whenever we need help. That's selfish by the way.
The most important part!! - - - Never expect anything in return when you are in an honest friendship with you friends.
Try to avoid saying things like; "I did this and that for him/her, but when I need help he/she is not able to help me out"
SERIOUSLY? Ask and hear yourself! This totally means that you were not honest in the first place whenever you are spending time or helping out your friends when they needed you. Otherwise, you would have not be expecting something in return.
I might, of course definitely would have done or have those childish thought within me when I was young (hahaha, way too young, and I'm not that old now); but the feeling is super disgusting when I think about it again.
A true friend is someone who has your back, stands up for you even when you are not there; know everything (like every single shit) about you, and still love you for who you are; and when others try to hurt you physically or emotionally, they know exactly what to say and do to make sure you stay safe :)
Thus, let's not judge a friendship based on our negative emotions and embrace all other beautiful moments that we have cherished together.
